Bar La Orquidea is a friendly little bar, up the hill in Calahonda, on the Costa del Sol. Within La Orquidea Holiday Resort, we are a bar and restaurant with a great variety of menus, though the year.
We’re big on entertainment, too. Everything from weekly karaoke to top-quality entertainers and even exclusive productions of musicals – the Rocky Horrow Show, Aladdin and many more great acts from the Costa del Sol.
La Orquidea Summer Season
The best thing about the summer is the entertainment. Every year changes, but we’ve often had two or three new acts, every week!
From singers (most notably, Mr Christopher Howard, sadly missed) to Comedians, Flamenco to Rock ‘n’ Roll! Lots of entertainment for the kids, too!
Summer afternoons are great, sitting on the bar terrace with a cool drink, keeping an eye on the kids in the small pool.
Most Sundays see us on the terrace, having a barbecue. Always a crowd puller, we serve up burgers, ribs, wings and hot dogs next to the children’s pool, out side the bar. Easy, Sunday afternoon music plays over the PA, it’s a great afternoon.
The Winter Season
Sunday Lunch is always a winner at Bar La Orqudiea. Generally, a choice of five meats, all fresh veg and proper, home-made gravy.
Naturally, the entertainment slows down a little during the winter, but there’s generally something going on – quizzes, karaoke, the darts tournament and much more.
