La Orquidea Golf Society
Based in the hills of Calahonda on the Mijas Costa in Spain, the La Orquidea Golf Society is open to anyone who wants to play.
Our friendly society currently plays once a month (usually mid-month) on a ‘pay-per-play’ basis, ideal for the visiting holiday maker or casual local resident golfer, alike.
Included in the cost are the green fees, buggy (where apropriate), prizes – usually for First Place, Second Place and Third Place, plus ‘Nearest the Pin’. Also included are drinks for the course (it does get hot) and a great meal back at the Club House (Bar La Orquidea).
We play at a number of courses around Calahonda on the Costa del Sol, including Miraflores, Calanova, Cabopino and La Siesta courses.
Our core member base is growing at an increasing rate, but we’re always looking for ‘new blood’, particularly junior players and ladies.
We are a friendly bunch of golfers, we like nothing more than playing a round, then retiring to the Club House to talk about the game over a beer, or two.
